Disability Access Statement

This statement has been prepared to help people with disabilities and physical impairment to assess whether these premises will be accessible to them. 

The Bungalow

  • Brambles Chine 146 is a self-catering, single storey bungalow on a slight incline.
  • The bungalow is accessed via a tarmaced road within the holiday site. Car parking is immediately in front of the bungalow, access approx. 8m across grass.
  • Access into the bungalow is up a step and over a threshold and a wheelchair ramp is available from management on request. The minimum door width in the bungalow is 74cms.
  • There is an audio smoke alarm.
  • The bungalow is level within and has a walk-in shower . No special facilities, other than those indicated are provided.
  • Pets are not accepted with the exception of guide dogs.

The Site

  • The site has a small shop for everyday needs and an access ramp can be supplied on request although the approach is over an untarmaced surface.
  • The site has a reception, approximately 100meters from the bungalow, which has level access. Staff are happy to assist with practical needs during normal working hours although have no special training in dealing with specific requirements.
  • There is a coin-operated launderette on site via the same access as the shop. Staff are available to assist during normal working hours.

Getting There

  • The site is approximately 4Km from the Yarmouth vehicle/passenger ferry terminal, from where taxis are usually available, and is 800m from the nearest bus stop.
  • Vehicular access to the site is practical although via an unadopted road which has potholes.
  • There is a large outdoor leisure area although no special facilities are available for disabled guests. Access to the beach is via a steep slipway.
