Book Launch – The New Total War by Bob Seely with photographs by Annabel Moeller at Dimbola Museum and Galleries

Dimbola Museum and Galleries are delighted to announce a special evening celebrating the launch of The New Total War, a compelling new book by Bob Seely, former Isle of Wight MP and Army officer, with photographs by Annabel Moeller, whose images capture both the humanity and intensity of modern warfare. This book is essential reading for anyone who wants to understand the unconventional methods Russia and other authoritarian states will use to challenge the West for global supremacy.

Plus, there will be copies of Annabel Moeller’s stunning coffee table style book Friends to Frontiers featuring her beautifully shot photographs that illustrate her desire to tell the human side of any story. The evening will also be a private view for Annabel’s exhibition in Julia’s Studio within Dimbola.

This exclusive event will follow the format of a discussion, moderated by Harriet Hadfield, experienced journalist and former Sky News correspondent, who relocated to the Island in 2020.

Guests are invited to join from 6pm, with the moderated talk beginning at 6.30pm. There will be an interval with a pay bar, and a book signing session by both Bob and Annabel following the talk.

Tickets are £8, available directly from Dimbola Museum and Galleries. All proceeds from the evening will go towards the Julia Margaret Cameron Trust’s Computer Appeal, supporting the urgent replacement and upgrade of Dimbola’s computer systems, vital for the museum’s ongoing cultural and educational work.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Dr Bob Seely back to Dimbola for what promises to be a chilling account of the current world order,” said Brian Hinton, Exec Chairman of Dimbola Museum and Galleries. “This event not only celebrates an important new work by Bob Seely, and amazing photographs by Annabel, but also supports a cause crucial to the future of Dimbola.”
