Watermill Wednesday Walks

Step Back in Time with New Weekly Walks at Calbourne Water Mill.

WightWays and The Water Mill at Calbourne have joined forces to launch a brand-new wellbeing experience this summer; a series of scenic Wednesday walks followed by a traditional cream tea in one of the Isle of Wight’s most historic and picturesque settings.

Running weekly from Wednesday 23rd July to 1st October, The Watermill Wednesday Walk is a 4-mile guided circular walk exploring the beautiful Caul Bourne valley, the stream that has powered the mill for over a thousand years.

Led by WightWays founder Rachel Richards, the walk offers a relaxed pace and varied terrain through shady woods, open fields, and quiet lanes, ending with a well-earned cream tea in the Mill café.

Walks start at 1:30pm, last around 2.5 hours, and are open to adults of all ages and abilities with moderate fitness. Each ticket is £15 and includes the guided walk and cream tea. Group sizes are capped at 20 to ensure a relaxed and friendly experience.

Free parking is available, and a Southern Vectis summer bus service stops directly outside the Mill on Wednesdays.

Booking is essential, and places are expected to fill up fast.
