Isle of Wight Open Studios

We’re delighted to share that Isle of Wight Open Studios is back for 2026, celebrating the Island’s vibrant creative community with an Island wide programme of open studios, exhibitions and events.

Our annual event will take place from Friday 15th May to Monday 25th May 2026.

In 2025, over 150 artists opened their doors to more than 9,500 visitors across 11 days, with a Showcase Exhibition at Quay Arts in the lead up to the event attracting nearly 4,000 gallery visitors alone. Open Studios connects people of all ages and backgrounds with the Island’s artists and makers, offering a unique opportunity to explore creative spaces and experience the cultural richness of the Isle of Wight.

Open Studios invites visitors to step inside working studios, meet artists and makers and discover the stories, skills and processes behind locally made art.

Artist registration is now open, with applications closing on 1st February.

Artists working across all disciplines are warmly encouraged to apply and be part of this well-established and much-loved cultural event.

Alongside artist registration, we are also inviting advertisers and sponsors to get involved in Open Studios 2026.

Our printed Open Studios directory – with 8,000 copies being produced this year – is widely picked up by visitors across the Island and plays a key role in helping people discover artists, studios and creative businesses.

The Directory is a key resource for planning visits, carried by locals and tourists alike and distributed Island-wide through galleries, cultural venues, ferry terminals and visitor hubs.

Support from advertisers and sponsors helps us to:

            •          Deliver a high-profile Island-wide promotional campaign

            •          Reach more off-Island visitors and strengthen the Isle of Wight’s reputation as a cultural destination

            •          Keep the event affordable and accessible for artists and audiences alike
