Flint Arrowhead Making with Journey Wild at the Garlic Farm
Come and learn the lost skill of making your own flint knapped arrowhead on this short course. Through learning some of the basic principles required to knap flint, we will step back in time together to the sounds of stones breaking and, by learning the technique of pressure flaking, craft our own arrowheads to take home.
General Information:
· Ages 10+ (all below 18 accompanied by an adult)
· 2.5 hour workshop
· All materials and tools supplied
· Tools used: Flint and Copper Pressure Flakers, Hard Hammer stones, Abrading Stones
· Self catered – bring any drinks and snacks desired. Small breaks are encouraged so there is time for taking some moments to relax. The Garlic Farm Restaurant & Allium Cafe is open for you to enjoy on the day. Restaurant booking is recommended.
· £40 per working participant, no charge for non-participating accompanying adults.
· Meet outside the Garlic Farm Shop entrance at the end of the car park and we will make our way to the woodland workshop.
