The Isle of Wight Open Studios (IWOS) Showcase Exhibition 2026 is now open at Quay Arts, offering visitors a preview of work from over 90 artists ahead of this year’s Open Studios event.
Running from 18 April to 30 May 2026, the exhibition brings together a diverse range of disciplines, providing a snapshot of the creativity that will be on display across the Island when more than 200 artists open their studios from 15–25 May 2026.
The Showcase Exhibition acts as a central starting point for visitors, allowing them to discover artists, explore different styles and plan their routes for Open Studios.
Formally opened by Nigel Hartley, High Sheriff of the Isle of Wight, the exhibition highlights the strength and diversity of the Island’s creative community. He reflected on the challenge of putting creative practice into words, noting that
“creative practice doesn’t begin in everyday language and we often struggle to fully describe the depth of thought and process behind each piece.”
The lift at Quay Arts is currently out of service. While this is outside of our control, Quay Arts is urgently exploring solutions, with accessibility and inclusion remaining central to their work.
The first floor remains open. For those unable to access it, a 360° virtual tour of the exhibition has been created, allowing visitors to explore the Showcase Exhibition online.

The exhibition is free to visit during Quay Arts opening hours (Mon-Sun, 9am-4pm).
Visitors are also encouraged to use the IW Open Studios directory and interactive map to plan their visits across the Island.
